Diabetic Eye Disease
What is diabetic eye disease, or diabetic retinopathy?
Unfortunately, Diabetic Retinopathy eye disease is one of the leading causes of blindness in the United States. Many factors surrounding this micro-vascular disease can affect ocular health. Fluctuating vision, decreased central vision, and diffuse vision loss are a few of the symptoms that can arise with this devastating disease. Yearly dilated eye exams along with good blood sugar control are the keys to preserving sight. If you or a loved one has diabetes please make an annual eye health exam a priority.
